We know that one of the keys to good senior health is remaining active and engaged with the people and the community around you. Networking with friends, family and peers is a great way for seniors to socialize, make new friends and learn. That’s one reason we like the OurSeniors.net Brunch and Learn Events so much. They give us a chance to meet with and network with our seniors. It helps us as much as it does them!
These events also give senior-oriented business people and non-profits a chance to do the same. The very next Brunch and Learn Event is just two weeks away. Here are the June Brunch & Learn Event details for Volusia and Flagler Counties (details for Seminole County to follow next week).
The June program will feature a presentation about the Florida Bureau of Braille and Talking Book Library, located here in Daytona. This wonderful service makes books, magazines and periodicals available to persons of all ages who are visually impaired. Even if you have no use for this service, the program can be of benefit. The Library needs volunteer help of several kinds, ranging from talented readers to clerical help. This is a chance to network with other seniors and the OurSeniors.net Family and perhaps to volunteer.
