climate changeDid you know that climate change, affects human health and disease? The Third National Climate Assessment’s Health Chapter states that climate change will exacerbate existing health threats like respiratory and cardiovascular disease. “Save the earth” is more than buzzwords, it is a global crisis. The great news is that there is still time for change and seniors have the power to make it happen! There are about 52 million retired Americans who are 65 or older and the U.S. Census Bureau expects that number to double by 2060! If every senior makes steps towards sustainability their change will impact the future!
